These earrings begin with gorgeous blue kyanite gemstones. We then hand form and hammer 14k gold filled wire to create the U shaped bands. Using solid .935 silver wire, we ball one end, thread that through the stone and the band and use our torch to carefully ball the other end of the wire in order to hold the kyanite in place. Finally, we add high quality 14k gold filled ear wires, which have proved to be a great option even for those with sensitive ears (Although each person's sensitivities are different! It's up to you to know what is best for your body!)

Kyanite is an absolutely beautiful stone! It has this kind of shimmer or iridescence to it and is one of my favorites.

Since these stones vary in size, they can be anywhere from 3/4" long to 2 1/2" long! If you have a preference, just shoot me a message and I'll do my best to get you the exact length you want!

- About the metal -

Gold filled:

Although more expensive, this is by far the best and safest choice of metal! Gold Filled literally has 100X more gold than gold plating. It does not flake off, rub off or tarnish.

Silver:

We use solid Argentium silver (94% pure silver) for this product. Argentium silver is not only a higher quality silver, having 94% pure silver as opposed to sterling which has 92.5% , but it is also tarnish resistant and stronger.

To keep your jewelry in best condition it is advised to keep it dry (from beauty products, sweat, etc) When you sweat, the acidity in the oils of the skin react with the metal and depending on the levels, this sometimes is what will cause tarnishing or leave a green color.
