Gold Triangle Stud Earrings

Gold Triangle Stud Earrings

$20.00

I make these simple golden triangle studs starting with plain raw brass triangles. I use a rounded hammer and ping away at these little triangles until they're covered with this beautiful texture you see in the photos! I then solder solid argentium silver posts to the triangles and work harden them to make them strong. Then they have to go into a solution to clean them for a few minutes, after which the posts get trimmed and the ends filed smooth. We finish the process by tumbling them with steel shot to bring a nice shine to them.

● 1/2" wide

● Posts: solid .935 silver

● Triangles: Solid brass or solid copper triangles

- About the metal -

Brass: An alloy made of copper and zinc, brass is a great, more affordable alternative to gold. However, before you decide to purchase jewelry made of brass please be aware of how YOU personally react to it. Brass can sometimes turn skin green or cause irritation, so it’s important you know how you react. But, if you know that brass is a safe metal for you, it's a great option! The color is very similar to gold and we always use solid brass, which means the color will never wear off! Although, it can tarnish, it can easily be polished up again to bring back that gold shine!

Silver: We use both solid sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) and solid argentium silver (93.5% pure silver) depending on the needs of the product. Our earring posts, for instance, are all made of argentium, which is not only a higher quality silver, but it is also tarnish resistant and stronger.

- Caring For Your Jewelry -

To keep your jewelry in best condition it is advised to keep it dry (from beauty products, sweat, etc) When you sweat, the acidity in the oils of the skin react with the metal and depending on the levels, this sometimes is what will cause tarnishing or leave a green color.

- BEFORE YOU BUY -

Please be sure the jewelry you buy is made of a metal that is safe for you! If you are unsure or need a metal that isn’t listed, please just message me and we will get back to you quickly to find a solution for you!
