The hexagon is an awesome shape, and it's defiantly not a shape just confined to your 5th grade geometry book... just look to nature and you will discover it is hiding all around you! Honeycombs, for example, are made of hundreds of linked hexagons, as are the eyes of the bees that make them. Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds all naturally form in a hexagonal shape. You can even find the same mathematically pleasing shape on the pole of Saturn! Anyway, its a pretty special shape.

Lisa and I really like how these small hexagon studs turned out. They are just so small and cute! To make them, we start by fusing solid .935 silver posts onto a pair of solid brass hexagons. Next, we do a bit of hardening, cleaning, and polishing... Done! They are now ready to be enjoyed!

Brass:

An alloy made of copper and zinc, brass is very affordable. However, before you decide to purchase jewelry made of brass please be aware of how YOU personally react to it. Brass can sometimes turn skin green or cause irritation, so it's important to choose wisely. But, if you know that brass is a safe metal for you, it's a great option! The color is very similar to gold and we always use solid brass, which means the color will never wear off! Although, it can tarnish, it can easily be polished up again to bring back that gold shine!

Silver: We have started moving from solid sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) to solid argentium silver (93.5% pure silver). Argentium is not only a higher quality silver, but it is also tarnish resistant and stronger.
